So you cannot find the preference page and debug option is disabled (the Edit/Run action is provided by other components). I assume that you install WorkSpace 2.5/2.1.2 and do not change anything in the installation folders. I did the following steps to solve this issue. 1. Rename the Database Development component folder name, so WorkSpace won't able to load the plugins. Rename this folder C:\Sybase\WorkSpace\sybase_workspace\database_management to a temporary name, such as database_managerment_temp. 2. Start WorkSpace by using commandline: SybaseWorkSpace.bat -clean 3. Do nothing and exit WorkSpace. Rename the folder back to database_management. 4. Start WorkSpace again by using commandline.
