First, change directory to %SYBASE%\charsets\cp1250 charset.exe -Usa -P S<server> binary.srt cp1250 This command should be repeated for each sort order required. Connect to the server and change the default character set id using sp_configure. sp_configure 'default character set id',22 Shutdown the server from within isql. Restart the server. ASE will process the changes and shutdown automatically. Restart the server again and the chararcter set is now cp1250.
