The fact to allocate the memory required for RTDS at startup is leading ASE to allocate it from the first ASE shared memory segment.

Once the connection holding the SH_TAB lock exists, the cursor application continues to wait even though its EX_INTENT lock is compatible with the granted locks of the object. Workaround Description  Closing cursors as soon as they are not needed anymore, avoids keeping shared intent locks for a long time and may reduce the risk of occurrence of this problem. Actually the problem is not the cursor, is the session that has requested a SH_TAB lock on the object here. We need to avoid cases where SH_TAB is used by the application.
