With this repro, the dbtable keep count of tempdb continues to increase to about 40000. When the keep count increments from 32767, it overflows to negative, -32768, hence 940 error. When the TF is used, the dbtable keep count is counted in global dbtable for tempdb. The field is defined as int, ie. 4byte signed integer. Workaround Description  It seems running sp_fixindex on source db help fix this issue (it worked on one of the environments at customer site), the question is why? because there is no corruption carried forward in the dump...moreover this dump works fine on ASE 15.5.
