Here is the manual method to update the msgqueues: There are two ways to set the parm: a. In Sybase Central, with the mouse over the RSM server name, click the right mouse button and then go to Configure. Then drop down the General option (default is Attributes). And msgpool is one of the options. b. In the RSM config file ($SYBASE/RSM-12_6/admin/config/rsmserver.cfg) put in a line: msgpool 65000 . RSM Server put the line right after the RSM_sortorder line. Since I didn't have the message, I can't tell if there are any adverse consequences to changing the parm. When I change mine to 65000, my RSM Server stays up. Customer set his to 65000 and the message in the RSM Server log is no longer there.

The graphic data is being truncated by half its size(Graphic data is double byte) and DB2 never stores the leading SO and trainling SI character in the column. The product was modified to send double byte instead of single byte and to supply the SO and SI chracters when it translates the data to LTL. This configuration is useful for customers who wish to send graphic data to tarket databases that do not accept hex format for graphic data translated to a charset like sjis or eucjis.
